In line with Memorial University’s vaccine policy, the Marine Institute campus is implementing a vaccine policy for all industrial clients accessing a Marine Institute campus for training courses. All industry clients will be required to upload their vaccination status prior to starting a course. This process is not time consuming and is a requirement to be on campus.

Vaccination is one of the most effective ways to protect our families, communities and ourselves against COVID-19. Vaccines are proven to prevent severe illness, hospitalization and death from COVID-19. As a part of our commitment and shared responsibility to keep each other and our extended families safe during the upcoming school year, we are requiring all students, faculty and staff to be vaccinated against COVID-19.

These must be worn in public spaces and common areas or any time a two-metre physical distance cannot be maintained. This applies in classrooms and laboratories, while at university facilities or while conducting Memorial business off-campus. Masks are not required in student residence rooms, offices or cubicles, or while seated to eat or drink. Instructors able to maintain two-metre physical distancing will be able to teach with a mask off.
